I just finished reading a really amazing post that reminded me of how I was filling just a month ago. I felt like I was loosing energy for blogging. I didn’t know if what I was doing was worth it. Blogs take dedication. I am currently expanding one blog and starting two new ones (this one is new). Step Away from the Computer!

Don't zone out. Stay connected to the outside world.

I have an addiction, it is called blogging. Oh I love it, I love it, I love it. I love it so much that it’s 4:30 a.m. my time and guess what? I’m blogging! That being said, I urge you to step away from the computer. I sit here shocked and amazed because yesterday, I didn’t blog anything. I always say I’m not going to do it but then I end up doing it anyways and that’s okay because I truly love and enjoy what I do. But there are other things that are important to me too. I said I wasn’t going to blog yesterday and I didn’t. I went to church, I worked out, I drank tea, I took an amazing shower and then I went to dinner with my sister and had a fabulous time.
Did you see that episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” last week? Yeah. There was this blogger who couldn’t speak. Not only could she not speak, she chose not to communicate with her husband. She cut herself off and threw herself into her blog. Yeah she was “famous in some internet circles,” but her marriage was falling apart and honestly, so was her life. Once again, I understand, I really do but step away from the computer.

I’ve had to create boundaries for myself so that I remain balanced and am taking care of all the important things in my life including blogging. If you are a new blogger, I urge you to create restraints for yourself early on so that you don’t get sucked into blogging.

I have a timer. Some days I can only work on the blog for so long because I need to study or I have to be at work or whatever so I set the timer for 45 minutes and then I get up and take a break. If my day allows another 45 minutes then I take it. Do it but don’t over do it.

P.S. I’m up blogging at 4:30 because I was supposed to start another series yesterday but didn’t. It’s also important to deliver content in a timely fashion (but don’t beat yourself up if you don’t-just get it done) ☺.

This site is great for promoting your blog. It’s kind of like a blog merry-go-round. You can submit your blog and alphainventions viewers can view your blog in real time. I got traffic the first time I did it. It works and I like it! Visit the site here.

I am telling you that they are the best at what they do. They produce high quality training tools that are extremely helpful and easy to use. Check out the new membership site here. This is affordable and well worth it. Yaro has another membership that costs well over $800 to join so I’d say that 5 payments of $27 is a great value.
